Marches Biogas have just finished designing and installing a new gas holder and gas pipework at Chester WWTW and overhauling the gas mixing system at Eign WWTW.  Marches Biogas is on the Kelda Water and United Utilities ( now Dwr Cymru) approved contractors list and have just finished commissioning Llanfoist digestion plant.
We are currently in the process of inspecting and reporting on the biogas safety systems at over thirty digesters for Yorkshire Water.
In February 2010 we were awarded the contract to design and build the on farm anaerobic digestion plant for Newcastle University at Cockle Park Farm.

We have just been awarded the contract to design and build the on farm anaerobic digestion plant for Reaseheath College at Nantwich.
Briefly over the past twenty five years our work has consisted of the following:

  • Work on water authority digestion plants throughout the United Kingdom carrying out many tasks from sludge and gas analysis, condition reports, lithium trace tests, CHP installation, plant maintenance, plant upgrades and gas holder and pipework installations
  • We were part of a three man team that commissioned the digestion plants at Eign Road and Cog Moors WWTWs.
  • We were responsible for the repair of the digestion plant at Swansea Bay after the roof lifted on the primary digester soon after the original commissioning, that contract also included the design and installation of a new gas system and foam traps and rewriting the process control specification.
  • We have been responsible for the design and build of research and development facilities and fifteen large scale digesters ranging from 35kWe to 1.5mWe output, including the Ludlow Biowaste Digester, the first ABP compliant facility in the United Kingdom to digest food waste alone.

We would welcome any feedback regarding the above and I would be interested to discuss any proposals or projects that you may be considering.

We deal all projects on an individual basis and are therefore very flexible on the provision of services depending on the client’s exact requirements.
