Trainee Maintenance Engineer – Starting salary £18,000 per annum plus company benefits*
Essential Criteria
- Full UK Driving Licence (rural site has no public transport links)
- A level or equivalent in a STEM subject (Science, Engineering, Technology, Maths)
- Strong interest in renewable technologies
Marches Biogas is looking to find Trainee Maintenance Engineers to assist with the day-to-day planned preventative maintenance and functionality requirements of operating anaerobic digesters throughout the UK. All our maintenance engineers become multi-skilled with an electrical or mechanical bias. Marches Biogas is committed to the continued development and appropriate training of all its employees with specific training provided as necessary for tasks such as working at height, using breathing apparatus and working within confined spaces.
Marches has employees that have been at the cutting edge of this renewable and green technology for over 25 years and have a small, but highly developed team of industry experts who are able to provide mechanical, operational, and biological support AD facilities throughout the UK. With an excellent benefits package this is a brilliant opportunity to learn vocationally all about hands on maintenance engineering.
You will be paired with an experienced engineer who you will shadow for around 2 years whilst you learn the trade. You will be involved in the routine maintenance of components common to AD systems such as pumps, compressors, boasters, air systems and boilers. The role will involve a lot of travel as you will be working alongside the engineer on projects at customer sites up and down the UK.
The role will well suit candidates who are driven to learn new skills and experience an industry that is currently booming. Candidates must be prepared to stay away from home at times and must not be afraid to get their hands dirty.
